As your child grows, we focus on prevention and education to ensure their smile remains healthy. Our goal is to help children learn and develop consistent oral hygiene habits.
During their regular six-month appointment, your child will experience a gentle and thorough cleaning to help prevent cavities and promote overall oral health.
For children who feel a little nervous or anxious during dental visits, we offer nitrous oxide sedation—often called "laughing gas." This safe, mild option helps your child feel calm, relaxed, and happy while staying fully awake and able to chat with us.
When necessary, we use composite fillings with a tooth-colored resin to fill in cavities. As a result, fillings blend in naturally.
A plastic coating can be professionally applied to prevent cavities by sealing the chewing surfaces. Dental sealants are easy to apply and provide years of protection.
When a tooth has decay, disease, trauma, or may impede normal oral development, we remove the tooth.
If you are unsure if the pain your child is experiencing requires immediate attention, please call us.

We love welcoming little ones for their very first dental check-up! The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends bringing your child in by their first birthday (or within six months of their first tooth erupting). This first visit helps us ensure everything is developing beautifully and sets the foundation for a lifetime of healthy, confident smiles. Starting early allows us to catch any potential issues and prevent them from growing.
Try to avoid packaged snack crackers. These snacks are usually high in sugar and can easily get stuck in the grooves of back teeth. When food stays on teeth for a long time, cavity-causing bacteria have more time to feed on the sugar and produce acids that can lead to cavities. Even cheese-flavored crackers or other “savory” varieties often contain hidden sugars, and they don’t clean off easily with just saliva or a quick brushing. Choosing snacks that are less sticky and lower in sugar helps protect your child’s teeth and makes dental care easier.
What to do instead: Parmesan crisps made of 100% grated Parmesan baked in the home oven are a healthy, delicious, cheesy and crunchy alternative! Parmesan has no carbohydrates, so it cannot cause a cavity! Also, it releases calcium and phosphate (building blocks of our teeth) which makes teeth stronger! Parmesan has plenty of protein and healthy fats which help kids stay full, stay focused, and build strong muscles. It is low in lactose, so it is gentle on the stomach, and is stable at room temperature for lasting until snack time! Give them a try!
