What’s your favorite thing about Colorado?
Outdoor activities! I love to hike, snowboard, or go to a brewery with my wife, Amanda, and our happy lab/pitty mix, Obi. I have become a Broncos fan since moving to Denver, and cheer for them and my hometown Buccaneers!
Why pediatric dentistry?
Pediatric dentistry is fun, high energy, and positive. It also gives me a reason to wear cartoon scrub caps daily! I love kids, so I enjoy helping them have great visits and develop lifetime oral health habits.
What’s most important to you as a dentist?
Building trust. I strive to create a fun, educational, and comfortable experience which leads to trusting kids and families who look forward to seeing the dentist!
What’s so cool about kids dentistry?
Pediatric Dentistry is a rapidly evolving field with frequent advances in techniques and materials, which mean families have more options, better outcomes, and healthier and happier smiles!

What’s your favorite thing about Colorado?
It’s usually sunny here! In Michigan where I grew up, it was always gloomy.
Why did you become an orthodontist?
I couldn’t afford braces until I was an adult. After getting treatment, I finally had a smile I was proud to show off! That was when I decided I wanted to become an orthodontist. It’s amazing how you can change somebody’s life by giving them a smile they’re proud to show off.
What’s the one thing you want families to feel?
Trust. That you trust me to give your child a beautiful smile.
What is a dream you have?
One day I’d love to set up a foundation to provide free treatment to patients who can’t afford treatment but really need it.

I was a nail tech for 5 years before going to dental school.
